This Proverb reminds me of the wonderful grandparents I know. Their grandchildren are the “apple of their eyes.” Their life and vision are full of their grandkids; they are central to their universe.
Same holds true for God’s word. He wants us to live in such a way that we are focused on His commands and they are central to our lives. They should be the vision for our lives.
This Proverb convicts me every time I read it. It challenges me to keep laser focus on God’s word so that I can live the life that He envisions for me.
