Proverb a Day: Day 6

Do you remember those ant farms that you “played” with as a kid? I can’t recall which of the three of us kids in our family received it as a present one year, but I was mesmerized … and also terrified … what if they somehow got out?

The marketing language on an ant farm box I found on Amazon describes ants as “tiny engineers that build bridges, dig tunnels and move mountains right before your eyes.” And it’s so true.

My brothers and I were fascinated by the ant farm activity and their endless ability to get things done. Today’s Proverb addresses “Warnings Against Folly” and cautions us to avoid laziness and have a high work ethic. As the humble ant shows us, with hard work you can move mountains.
