Proverb a Day: Day 15

read proverbs 15

Today’s Proverb is dedicated to my mom. Hard to believe, but it was almost 15 years ago that she passed away. She was the most wise, practically-minded and common-sensical person I knew. I miss turning to her for advice and so many other things.

For those who have lost parents, grief is such a complex, evolving process. For the longest time, I wasn’t able to get past the sadness. But then our oldest daughter, Jaia, was born (two years after mom died), and even as a toddler, she would comfort and console me on those extra sad days, turning my sadness to joy. So glad she is my mom’s namesake.
